Job Summary This is a technical hands-on position that involves setting-up/programming the robots on a shop floor, integrating them into a production facility, and providing automation support when completed. It can also require any one of these aspects separately. Responsibility Set up and program industrial robots for automated production stations Download, run, and modify robot programs including Offline Programs (OLP) Integrate robots with PLC systems and peripheral equipment Configure robot I/O signals and perform signal mapping with PLC Perform robot mastering, TCP check, and payload configuration Configure robot work zones and safety zones Support robot commissioning and system testing during installation Perform automatic debugging with PLC and troubleshoot robot systems Optimize robot motion paths to improve cycle time and production throughput Provide technical support for robotic systems during production operations Assist in installation and integration of robotic systems in automation projects
Education :
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (Associate Degree preferred) Required Skills Experience with industrial robots such as FANUC and YASKAWA..., especially in Spot Welding, Material Handling, and Sealing/Dispensing applications. Ability to download, run, and modify OLP (Offline Programs). Basic knowledge of robot communication with PLC and peripheral equipment. Experience with robot I/O configuration, safety zone setup, and signal mapping. Ability to perform robot mastering, TCP verification, and payload configuration. Experience in auto debugging with PLC and troubleshooting robot systems. Knowledge of cycle time optimization and production throughput improvement. Preferred Skills (Plus): Experience with Fanuc DCS safety configuration. Knowledge of spot welding equipment or spot welding process is an advantage. Basic experience with vision systems is a plus.
