Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Programmer to program, configure, and troubleshoot AV control systems, audio DSPs, and related components for installed systems in commercial, educational, and worship environments. Key Responsibilities Program, configure, and troubleshoot AV control systems, audio DSPs, and associated equipment. Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to interpret system designs and requirements. Write, test, and deploy control code for AV systems. Load firmware and integrate displays, projectors, switchers, audio systems, and other AV devices. Perform on-site commissioning, functional testing, and system verification. Document programming configurations and system settings. Provide technical guidance during installation and post-installation support. Diagnose and resolve field issues and recommend improvements to programming standards and system designs. Qualifications Strong proficiency in AV control system programming (Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar platforms). Basic familiarity with audio DSP configuration. Working knowledge of low-voltage systems, AV signal flow, and device integration, including displays, projectors, switchers, microphones, and amplifiers. Understanding of networking fundamentals related to AV systems, including IP addressing, VLANs, switches, and security best practices. Ability to read and interpret AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to travel to project sites as needed and support occasional after-hours or weekend work based on project schedules. Preferred Qualifications Technical training or certifications in AV, IT, or electronics (e.g., AVIXA CTS, manufacturer certifications, or equivalent experience). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required.
