Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Weld Robot Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing robotic welding programs to ensure efficient, high-quality production processes. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support lean manufacturing principles, and uphold strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Skills and Abilities Robotic Weld Programmer Level I
  • Qualifies or exceeds Welder Level I requirements.
  • Proficient in the programming of mid to low complexity single pass GMAW weldments on the company's robotic welding systems.
  • Proficient in performing all internal machine maintenance required.
  • Proficient in the inspection and replacement of all machine consumables such as but not limited to, welding wires, nozzles, tips liners and leads.
  • Able to read and interpret muti piece assembly drawings for weld symbology, dimensions, tolerances and notes.
  • Proficient in the use of tape measure to 1/32 of an inch, squares, protractors, strait edges and
GO - NO GO
gauges to perform part inspection and can train others.
  • Proficient in the inspection of single pass welded assemblies for weld size, weld defect and overall weld appearance.
  • Trains Level I Robotic Weld Operators to tack assemblies or sub-assemblies as required by the process.
  • Trains Level I Robotic Weld operators to perform minor welding in areas where the robot cannot access, and repair weld defects post welding to ensure quality.
  • Able to trouble shoot and resolve minor machine issues.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area during shift and performs end of shift clean-up activities to put away tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, cleaning machines, sweeping floor, and throwing out trash.
  • Performs any other duties or activities required by supervisors and managers.
  • Follows all company policies and safety guidelines. Robotic Weld Programmer Level II

  • Able to trouble shoot and resolve complex machine issues.
  • Collaborates with company's production, sales, and engineering team members to support the design of robotic weld fixtures, process development, time estimation and implementation of new robotically welded products.
  • Responsible for the design and documenting of safe and efficient work areas set up for all robotically welded products.
  • Responsible for the set up and installation of new robotic welding systems acquired by the company.
  • Responsible for managing robotic weld system consumable inventory such as but not limited to weld wire, tips, nozzles, liners, leads.
  • Performs life cycle studies of consumable items such as but not limited to tips and nozzles.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area during shift and performs end of shift clean-up activities to put away tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, cleaning machines, sweeping floor, and throwing out trash.
  • Performs any other duties or activities required by supervisors and managers.
  • Follows all company policies and safety guidelines.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
