This position functions as a technical collaborator, responsible for taking 3D CAD files and creating CNC programs for various sheet metal equipment (punching, cutting, and forming) and verifying they run as intended on the equipment. Additionally, this role takes ownership of the shop packet release process to ensure that production lines receive accurate job orders and drawings to maintain peak operational flow.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Machine Verification Program Implementation:

Technical Troubleshooting:
Assist operators in basic troubleshooting of program-related issues at the machine, providing feedback to IEs if design adjustments are needed.
Production Standards Support:
Assist the IE team with basic data collection, such as time studies using stopwatches, to help audit labor standards and process bottlenecks.

Order Release & Distribution:
Print and physically distribute comprehensive shop packets - including work orders, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) - to production leads.
Priority Management:
Respond to "one-off" requests and last-minute priority shifts from the Director of Operations, researching and releasing urgent orders to adjust the floor workflow as needed.
System Integrity:
Ensure that engineering change notices (ECNs) are reflected in active shop packets before they hit the floor.
Operational Liaison:
Serve as a link between the office and the shop floor, ensuring that technical drawings match the physical work being performed.

A fundamental background in SolidWorks is required to view models and interpret dimensions.
