We fabricate individual components, assemblies or complete products to meet our customer's unique specifications. We specialize in metal fabrication- using light- to medium-thickness metals. CMP serves a number of industries including- Electronics component and assemblies; Lighting/Energy; Industrial equipment- machine enclosures; Electrical Enclosure; Material handling equipment and storage; medical, safety and military. ~ Your American Fabrication Partner ~

RESPONSIBILITES
Design Interpretation & Program Development Interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine fabrication requirements. Identify critical dimensions, tolerances, material requirements, and cosmetic/finishing standards. Develop accurate flat pattern layouts for sheet metal components. Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs for turret punches, press brakes, and related fabrication equipment. Ensure all programs reflect engineering intent and manufacturability. Review drawings for completeness and identify discrepancies prior to production. Manufacturing Support & Optimization Select appropriate machinery, tooling, and fabrication methods to ensure cost-effective production. Optimize material utilization to minimize scrap and maximize yield. Evaluate production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time. Monitor program performance and troubleshoot programming or production issues. Support production teams in resolving technical challenges on the shop floor. Assist with first-run validation to confirm part accuracy and repeatability. Fixture Design & Implementation Design fixtures to support consistent, accurate, and repeatable manufacturing. Build, test, and implement fixtures in collaboration with production personnel. Evaluate fixture performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and quality. Maintain documentation related to fixture designs and updates. Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration Participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement and operational excellence. Contribute to initiatives that improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, revisions, and process updates. Support implementation of new equipment, technology, and automation systems.

Monday-Thursday:
9-hour days
Fridays:
1/2 Days
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or certificate in Mechanical Design strongly preferred, or equivalent relevant experience 3+ years of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment 2+ years of experience with CAM software, turret punch programming, or off-line bending software Hands-on programming and fabrication experience Experience reading and interpreting blueprints Ability to create and program flat pattern layouts Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
