Support Specialist Faulkner University - 4.4 Montgomery, AL Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Support Specialist Montgomery, AL, USA Full Time Faulkner University is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Support Specialist for the Department of Information Technology. The selected individual will provide technical support and customer service for university software systems used by faculty, staff and students. This position assists with troubleshooting software issues, maintaining user access and ensuring efficient operation of technology resources across the university community. The Support Specialist works collaboratively with the IT team to deliver responsive, solutions-focused support that advances the university's academic and administrative mission. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.
Summary of Duties:
Provide first-level and advanced technical support for university-supported software applications and systems Troubleshoot and resolve software, login, access, and application performance issues Install, configure, update and maintain software applications Assist faculty, staff and students through phone, email, remote support and in-person service Document technical issues, resolutions and support procedures within the university ticketing system Collaborate with other IT staff to implement software upgrades, patches and new technology solutions Assist with testing and deployment of new software and system enhancements Participate in special technology projects and campus initiatives; provide audio-visual assistance for special projects and events Generate detailed reports by extracting data and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field required Two+ years of experience supporting, implementing, or training software applications required Active member of the church of Christ For initial application submit: Resume Cover letter Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.
