Job Description

We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to manage, support, and maintain our cloud-based systems, on-premise applications, and business software environment. This role includes responsibility for Azure services, SQL-based systems, and user support, including involvement in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SQL Server environments. The position focuses on supporting internal users, managing access and permissions, assisting with cloud integrations, and resolving issues related to data-driven systems and business applications. The environment includes Azure services, SQL-backed applications, and on-premise Microsoft Office. This is an internal IT role supporting a single business environment, not an MSP or contract position. Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain Azure-based services and cloud systems
  • Support identity management (Azure AD / Entra ID) and cloud integrations
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server environments
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server performance, connectivity, and database issues
  • Perform basic database administration tasks (backups, restores, user access, maintenance)
  • Support applications that rely on SQL Server and troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Run SQL queries for troubleshooting and validation
  • Assist in identifying data inconsistencies and system issues
  • Support on-premise Microsoft Office and related business applications
  • Assist with QuickBooks, CRM platforms, and other business software
  • Assist users with troubleshooting issues related to live chat software, configuration, and connectivity
  • Provide general user support and troubleshooting across systems and applications as needed
  • Take ownership of assigned systems and issues through resolution
  • Responsibilities may be adjusted or expanded over time to support business needs and system changes Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience in a help desk, desktop support, or IT support role in a business environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across software, user environments, and business applications
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and cloud-based systems
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including setup, configuration, and ongoing support
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries (data validation, issue investigation)
  • Understanding of database fundamentals (backups, restores, permissions, performance basics)
  • Experience supporting business applications such as QuickBooks, CRM platforms, or similar systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot user access, configuration, and integration issues
  • Reliable, organized, and strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Experience supporting multiple users simultaneously in a production business environment
  • Self-starter able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and manage priorities without constant supervision Nice to Have
