Job Details:
As a Senior IT Project Specialist, you will lead the coordination and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will work closely with senior project managers and cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and monitor project activities. Your experienced project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities will be essential in identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring project success. This senior-level specialist role provides the opportunity to leverage your project management experience to drive strategic initiatives and significantly impact the organization's success. This role focuses on structured delivery execution, milestone-based planning, stakeholder coordination, and foundational AI-enabled delivery practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply AI-enabled tools for task management, automated reminders, reporting, etc., to support efficient project execution.
  • Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating medium to large project teams to achieve high performance and quality in delivering projects that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously projects that will significantly impact single domains and functional areas.
  • Senior Project Specialist must also be capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Agile Project Management Skills.
  • Creating, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, with feedback from leadership/team members (Project Plans, RAID logs, etc.) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project management peers and other team members, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Intermediate communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas, influence diverse audiences, and drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and the overall success of the product team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging project management technologies, seeking learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.
Governance Reinforcement:
Actively promote and enforce project governance standards within the team, ensuring compliance across all project phases
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or Vocational Training or Trade School. Preferred Certification(s): Agile Certification.
Experience:
3+ years of relevant and practical experience managing multiple medium-scale projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Special Skills:
    Presentation:
    Ability to effectively present to project teams and senior leadership, conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.
      Methodology:
      Intermediate skills in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt and blend approaches as needed for project success.
        Financial Management:
        Proficiency in financial reporting and budget management for large-scale projects, including cost estimation, tracking, and forecasting.
          Problem-solving:
          Advanced abilities for diagnosing and solving complex issues, coupled with strong risk management skills to anticipate and mitigate potential problems.
            Time Management:
            Exceptional organization skills for managing time, prioritizing tasks, and handling multiple responsibilities across various projects.
              Tool Expertise:
              Intermediate understanding and utilization of advanced Project Management Tools (Clarity, MS Projects, Jira, etc.) to optimize project processes and reporting.
                Change Management:
                Intermediate to advanced Organizational Change Management skills, enabling smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in during project implementations.
                  Project Leadership:
                  Advanced project management skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex, high-impact projects.
                    Team Management:
                    Strong leadership abilities, capable of motivating, mentoring, and managing cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
                      Best Practices:
                      Ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve project management best practices, fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency.
