Job Description

Imagine Schools Arizona is hiring a Technology Support Specialist to work with our IT Team in supporting our schools in Coolidge, AZ. Eligible candidates must have professional IT experience. Customer service orientation is strongly preferred and the ability to work on multiple tasks required. This team member is responsible for general maintenance of PCs, Chromebooks, and peripheral equipment in an academic environment. Duties include a variety of support tasks including analyzing, documenting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting PC/Server hardware, troubleshooting software issues and repairing computer systems and Chromebooks as well as performing basic local area network administration activities. School environment experience and familiarity with student information systems software and/or learning management software preferred. Desktop support experience and certifications a plus. Salary range 40-50K. This position requires an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (may be "in process" during hiring process although required to begin employment).
Job functions include:
  • Perform hardware and software installation, repair, diagnosis, and maintenance to keep computers, devices, and peripherals operating correctly in a school environment
  • Prioritize work load and advise lead team members on the "status of the school" as related to IT
  • Acts as technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment
  • Explain software use, basics, failures, operational procedures and fixes to users
  • Analyze problems, identify solutions, project results of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals
  • Prepare progress reports on work performed to ensure that daily activity is captured correctly for historical purposes, to document repair/installation procedures and to track customer service levels
  • Perform basic network administration activities, which include monitoring local area networks and servers, and reporting or escalating issues to the system administrator or other support team members
  • Perform backups within the local domain to ensure data integrity and preservation of information
  • Routinely update campus hardware inventory to reflect moves, adds, changes Professional expectations:
  • Communicate with and instruct others, using both technical and non-technical language, as appropriate, to explain complex subjects and processes
  • Respond to all customers, as it relates to position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and professional manner
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that technical issues are resolved according to customer expectations
