IT Purchasing Specialist Location:

Job Summary The IT Purchasing Specialist is responsible for working with all facilities to purchase IT equipment and software as requested; at times this may require research for best pricing and availability. This position is also responsible for maintaining the Company's asset management system for IT assets. Position is based out of Colton, CA.
Primary Responsibilities Purchase IT Equipment & Software:
Procure IT equipment, software, and office supplies for all Ashley facilities in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Vendor Research & Pricing:
Research and evaluate vendor options to determine best pricing, availability, and quality; make informed purchasing decisions that align with company standards and budget requirements.
Asset Management System Maintenance:
Maintain the Company's asset management system by accurately entering and updating IT asset tag information to ensure comprehensive tracking and accountability.
Package Receiving & Distribution:
Log parcel deliveries upon arrival, distribute packages to recipients, or notify them of package availability for pickup.
Invoice Processing:
Validate and process invoices for IT purchases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
Demonstrate Core Values:

Vendor Engagement:
Engage directly with vendors regarding purchasing agreements, contract renewals, and logistics coordination to maintain strong vendor relationships and favorable terms.
Purchase Order Management:
Issue purchase orders upon request from internal stakeholders, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflows.
IT Stock Room Organization:
Organize and maintain the IT stock room in Colton, CA, ensuring efficient storage, accessibility, and inventory control.
Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory for stock rooms; document, investigate, and resolve issues related to missing retail store and warehouse inventory; track warranties, RMA status, vendor orders, and maintain positive vendor relations.
Secondary Responsibilities Reliable Attendance:
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance to support departmental operations.
Training & Development:
Actively participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuing education. Assist with training other employees and provide backup coverage as needed.
Special Projects:
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested by management to support organizational goals.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Experience:
2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management preferred Experience in IT procurement or asset management is a plus Familiarity with asset management systems and inventory tracking software
Skills:
