Job Description

[Leapros] Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Desktop Technician in Ontario, CA. The Desktop Technician provides essential technical support for hardware and software systems, ensuring end-user productivity and system reliability across the organization. The ideal candidate has experience troubleshooting PC hardware, Windows operating systems, and various peripherals in a professional corporate environment.

Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:
Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices. Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and productivity software including Microsoft 365. Troubleshoot hardware failures and perform repairs or coordinate with vendors for warranty services. Set up and manage user workstations, including docking stations, monitors, and peripheral devices. Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues for wired and wireless devices. Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory or similar directory services. Provide basic support for office equipment including network printers, scanners, and audiovisual systems. Document all support activities, asset changes, and resolutions within the internal ticketing system. Assist with hardware deployments, refreshes, and office moves involving IT equipment. Maintain an organized inventory of IT assets and spare parts.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a desktop support, help desk, or IT technician role is required. Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10/11 and the Microsoft 365 application suite. Familiarity with PC hardware components, laptop disassembly, and peripheral connectivity. Experience troubleshooting basic networking issues including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and VPN clients. Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users. Experience using professional ticketing systems to track and prioritize support requests. Basic understanding of Active Directory for user and group management. Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, such as computers, monitors, and printers. Dexterity of hands and fingers to handle small components and use hand tools. Must be able to crawl under desks and into tight spaces to manage cabling and connect equipment. Ability to see and distinguish colors for identifying network cabling and hardware indicators.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $28 to $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
