This role offers the flexibility of freelance work while delivering vital IT support to ensure seamless computer operations. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage various operating systems, and assist users in optimizing their technology environments. Responsibilities Deliver prompt and professional technical support via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications including Microsoft Office. Manage computer management tasks such as system updates, software installations, and hardware configurations. Support network connectivity issues including LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and general IT infrastructure troubleshooting. Assist users with software troubleshooting, operating system errors, and peripheral device problems. Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions to ensure efficient tracking of issues. Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions with excellent customer service skills. Requirements Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer management and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, firewall setup, and general IT infrastructure. Familiarity with help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems. Strong skills in software troubleshooting for applications including Microsoft Office suite. Ability to diagnose hardware issues related to computer hardware components. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users across diverse technical backgrounds. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles including VPNs and firewalls is a plus.
