Job Description:
Job Summary The System Development and Support Engineer II, reporting to the Global Manufacturing IT team, is responsible for supporting and developing automation, MES, and manufacturing-related applications. This role involves design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of systems, ensuring uptime and performance while collaborating with business teams to define specifications and requirements. The engineer also participates in solution research, technology insertion, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide support and project development for automation, MES, and manufacturing applications Design, develop, implement, maintain, and support manufacturing-related systems Collaborate with business teams to define specifications and requirements Ensure application uptime and availability for end users on the manufacturing floor Monitor application performance and implement continuous improvements Participate in solution research and development for new technology adoption Troubleshoot and resolve database and system issues Contribute to coding standards and organizational programming practices Required Qualifications Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology (required) 3-5 years of IT software development experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) Strong knowledge of system analysis methodology and system development Excellent project coordination and database troubleshooting skills Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Sense of responsibility and accountability Preferred Qualifications Experience in the manufacturing electronics sector, particularly IT manufacturing domains Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, equipment integration, transaction automation, and parametric data integration Proficiency in Java programming, AS400, Linux, and Data Integration Services Extensive experience in SQL queries and database design Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applications Experience with coding standards and organizational programming skills Certifications None required; relevant IT or manufacturing certifications are a plus
