IT Technician College of the Sequoias Community College District Visalia, CA Job Details Full-time $64,210 - $85,883 a year 2 days ago Qualifications Record keeping IT asset management Equipment installation Equipment troubleshooting Mid-level System maintenance Receiving shipments Hardware support Equipment maintenance Equipment inventory management Fixed asset management Full Job Description JOB Under the direction of the Manager, Infrastructure and Security, the IT Technician will work with other Technology Services personnel in the installation, configuration, inventory and repair of District End User Technology, and will provide technical support and guidance to end users of District technology.
District End-Users Technology is herein defined as any "up-to-the-wall" District purchased technology, software, or hardware that integrates with networks, servers, systems, or applications AND which employees use to perform their work functions, or students use to complete educational objectives.
This position is assigned to the Visalia Campus, Full-Time 12-month position. Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Assists with equipment moves of District End-User Technology.
Performs user help desk functions, operations, record-keeping, documentation, and communication to log and track resolution of issues, problems, and requests.
Provides end-user guidance for district applications and services that have been designed, approved, and are documented for use on personal devices.
Schedules repairs and completes warranty claims as necessary, requests and stores spare and replacement parts.
Ensures proper operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and security of District End-User Technology to provide technology resources for District faculty, staff, and students. Maintains a current and accurate inventory of District End-User Technology and other IT fixed assets.
Assists with receiving IT equipment and ensuring asset information is entered into inventory. Participates in District provided training involving the operation, use, and support of District End-User Technology.
Performs related duties as assigned.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job duties of the IT Technician include: Installs, supports, modifies, and maintains District End-User Technology. Where applicable, installs, maintains, and updates District End-User Technology in accordance with District safety standards.Assists with equipment moves of District End-User Technology.
