$70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Position Summary The IT Specialist supports Shaw Construction's technology infrastructure across office and jobsite locations in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah-serving approximately 250 end users. This role is the frontline for Help Desk support, jobsite IT mobilization, and equipment lifecycle management. The IT Specialist partners closely with the IT Manager to maintain a secure, functional, and well-documented technology environment. Duties & Responsibilities Help Desk & Desktop Support Serve as the primary point of contact for tier-one end-user support requests, resolving issues directly or escalating to the IT Manager in a timely manner. Maintain the Help Desk issue classification system to enable effective tracking, prioritization, and root-cause analysis for long-term infrastructure planning. Jobsite IT Mobilization & Demobilization Coordinate and execute IT resource setup at jobsite locations, including trailer wiring, routers, switches, and multi-function imaging peripherals. Manage turn-up and shut-down of jobsite communications services with external providers. Conduct on-site visits as needed to resolve issues that cannot be addressed remotely. Recover and prepare IT equipment post-project for future deployments. Equipment & Inventory Management Maintain an organized IT equipment lab and accurate inventory records in line with lifecycle policy and technical standards. Configure, update, redeploy, and retire computers per standard specifications. Monitor equipment performance and flag units requiring replacement or attention. Manage the full lifecycle of mobile and smart devices (acquisition, deployment, maintenance, recovery). Provide support for imaging peripherals (printers, scanners, copiers). Manage IT asset disposal at end of life under IT Manager direction. Other Maintain common area technology equipment in good working order. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 1 year of end-user IT support experience required; 2-3 years preferred. Technical Skills Active Directory, Windows OS (current versions), Remote Desktop Services, Office 365, Azure Dell KACE Help Desk and Imaging Amazon Web Services (AWS) Basic networking: switches, routers, VLANs Mobile device management: Apple iOS, Android Cloud computing concepts and administration Core Competencies Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities Effective troubleshooting and analytical thinking Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Adaptable in fast-paced, multi-site construction environment Preferred Certifications CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Microsoft Certifications (any applicable) Physical Requirements Office-based with up to 30% travel to jobsite locations. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
