Full Time Job Summary:
Responsible for repair, testing and/or servicing of desktop related hardware.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or
Certification:
Off-campus health system support duties will require use of a private vehicle. A valid drivers license, Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle liability insurance in the amount required by SFHS guidelines will be required.
Work Experience:
0 - 6 months related experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs necessary hardware and peripheral repairs. This includes identifying the problem and determining the most efficient and cost effective way to resolve the issue while keeping downtime to a minimum. Tests system hardware utilizing diagnostic tools and utilities to trouble shoot equipment failures and follows any special instructions as needed. Completes all required documentation involved in a service call and timely return of defective parts with respect to warranty or contract. This includes completion of required vendor paperwork, preparing defective product or parts for return to vendor and promptly retuning defective parts/product with appropriate paperwork. Maintains appropriate repair/spare parts inventory. Participates on projects or other assigned duties as needed. Provides after hours on-call support as required. Maintains and keeps current hardware certifications.

Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
Working Relationships:
Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
