University Assistant
  • School of Business University Assistant
  • School of Business Position Overview The School of Business is seeking a University Assistant to support technology operations, software troubleshoot, classroom functionality, and event execution. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth experience for faculty, staff, students, and guests by providing timely technical support and assisting with both on
  • and off-campus activities.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day technical support to School of Business faculty and staff. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, classroom technology, and HyFlex systems (including cameras, hardware, and software). Assist with School of Business events, including A/V and tech needs, both on and off campus. Submit and track School of Business work orders and facility requests Serve as a liaison between the School of Business and the University IT Department. Install and update desktop software applications. Maintain and troubleshoot printers and related equipment. Required Qualifications Troubleshooting of Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Blackboard Experience supporting business simulation platforms and experiential learning technologies Technical support for smart classrooms, including Smartboards, interactive displays, projectors, lecture capture systems, and audio-visual equipment Experience with software licensing, deployment, and updates across instructional labs and faculty machines Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and complete tasks with limited supervision Maintain and troubleshoot printers and related equipment Preferred Qualifications Administration and support of financial and research databases, including LSEG Workspace/Eikon, CRSP, and Bloomberg Terminal. Experience with survey and research platforms such as Qualtrics Proficiency supporting statistical and data analytics software, including R, Python, SPSS, and AMOS Ability to support data extraction, integration, and facilitation of and from financial and academic research databases. Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and user support Knowledge of programming and scripting environments used in business analytics (Python, R) Experience supporting business analytics, econometrics, and quantitative research tools Position Details
Part-time:
up to 19 hours per week May include occasional evenings and weekends
