The Office of Informion Technology (OIT) provides the development, operion, maintenance, and support of Informion Systems for the Supreme Court of the United Stes. The Office of Informion Technology (OIT) staff operes and administers distributed network architectures th support a fully virtualized environment of end user workstions and servers, geographically diverse da centers, website administrion using a virtual machine infrastructure linked with Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions, and administer several complex Local Area Networks which connects these resources. The position is responsible for design, implemention, day to day operions and optimizion of the Courts Network Infrastructure (NI) both the Court and various geographically diverse remote sites. The Network Infrastructure (NI) includes copper and fiber cable plant, routers, switches, access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, hardware load balancers, circuits, Network Management Systems (NMS), and Content Delivery Networks (CDN). The incumbent expected to split their time between operional troubleshooting and engineering projects. The position will perform technical analysis and administrion of the Network Infrastructure (NI) to include the following: security pching, periodic maintenance, "break-fix" actions, troubleshooting, configuring, testing, installing cabling as needed, fault isolion, preventive maintenance, install hardware/software/firmware upgrades, problem solving, equipment inventory, and all other aspects of technical support. The incumbent is expected to quickly react to and resolve problems th may impact the critical functions of the Court. www.sss.gov Qualificions Minimum of five years Network Infrastructure (NI) experience in the following cegories: Performing analysis and fault isolion functions, with hands-on working-level knowledge of Wireless Networks, Routers and Switches, Hardware Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPN and Security Appliances. Candide must be able to demonstre recent experience performing hardware set-up and installion as well as documenting installion and configurion changes on wireless network infrastructure. Expert level working knowledge of Wireless Networks, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Vlans, Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP), Network Security, and IP Traffic Capturing Software required.
