Job Description

Position:
PHP Support Consultant Duration:
6+ months
Contract Location:
Boca Raton, FL Position Summary :
We are seeking a versatile PHP Support Consultant for an onsite role at our customer s office in Boca Raton, FL. Consultant will spend approximately 80% of the time managing, maintaining, and improving PHP-based web applications and websites. The remaining 20% of time will be spent serving as the vital Onsite IT Single Point of Contact (SPOC), collaborating with an offshore IT team to provide physical "Smart Hands" and desktop support.
Responsibilities :
PHP Development & Support:
Provide core application support, code enhancements, and updates for PHP-based applications.
Website Maintenance:
Handle daily website upkeep, performance monitoring, optimization, and bug fixes.
Platform Administration:
Support platform-related activities and basic administrative tasks as guided by the customer team.
Onsite IT SPOC:
Act as the local, physical point of contact to assist and coordinate with our remote, offshore IT infrastructure teams.
End-User Support:
Provide basic troubleshooting for employee laptops, hardware peripherals, and local software issues.
Infrastructure Assistance:
Coordinate local infrastructure/network issue resolution and conduct basic physical checks of the IT closet.
Qualifications:
PHP Experience:
Around 3 years of hands-on experience with PHP development, troubleshooting, and web application maintenance.
Web Technologies:
Good understanding of web environments, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic database management.
IT/Desktop Support:
Basic familiarity with IT hardware, troubleshooting Windows/Mac laptops, and standard office network environments.
Hybrid Mindset:
A strong willingness and enthusiasm to balance software/web application support with physical IT desktop tasks.
Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills to interface daily with local end-users and collaborate effectively with remote offshore technical teams.
