Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of a government organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, ensuring seamless performance, and supporting both hardware and software needs.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and resolve network and system failures effectively.
- Troubleshoot and address complex inquiries or complaints related to IT operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software maintenance and consult with technical support teams to resolve application issues.
- Create and manage user accounts for software and network applications across the organization.
- Deploy and configure new hardware and software technologies to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, and technology resources, reallocating as necessary.
- Prepare and update documentation for systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Train end-users on technology systems and processes to improve efficiency and adoption.
- Provide on-call support during off-hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- Proven experience with VMware and information security practices.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10.
- Familiarity with Dell Technologies, Citrix, and PBX systems, including ShoreTel VOIP.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset.
