Troubleshoot software problems across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux; resolve issues related to applications like Microsoft Office and other productivity tools. Configure and maintain computer networking components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Assist with IT infrastructure management by supporting server environments, including troubleshooting BMC Remedy tickets related to hardware or software malfunctions. Support the setup and configuration of operating systems, software installations, updates, and security patches to keep systems current and protected. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while providing excellent customer service that promotes user satisfaction and confidence in IT services. Qualifications Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer management practices. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux; knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewall management, and network troubleshooting. Proficiency in managing computer hardware components and performing routine maintenance or repairs. Experience using help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira; ability to document issues accurately and follow through on resolutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Knowledge of IT support tools such as Operating Systems management tools and remote support applications like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow is highly desirable.
