Clarificion from the agency Current Federal Employee (ONLY) Duties Help As a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-12, you will serve as an Informion Technology Specialist providing Cybersecurity for an Air Nional Guard Wing's SAP or Sensitive Compartmented Informion Facility (SCIF) infrastructure. Operes within the DoD, Air Force and NGB security procedures, operions, and practices. Ensures systems are opered and maintained IAW AFI 17-101, Joint SAP Implemention Guidance (JSIG), and all applicable command and DOD security directives and procedures. Monitors DoD informion security bulletins and notificions as they rele to Informion Security Vulnerability Alerts (ISVAs). Coordinion is required with peer Wing contacts, MAJCOM elements, and commercial vendors. Incumbent is required to ensure compliance with Federal, DoD, Air Force, MAJCOM Informion Assurance/Cyber Security policies. Utilizes extensive knowledge of all areas of automion security to establish opering standards and procedures for the installion Informion Security Program. Coordines requirements with the responsible personnel and tracks suspense for completing required actions and reports virus problems in accordance with established procedures. Ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and networks by planning, analyzing, developing, and implementing informion systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. The incumbent serves as a subject mter expert (SME) in advising, posturing, preparing and auditing the organizion for Wing Self Inspection Program, Compliance Inspections, and accreditions. May serve in a team lead role for assessment teams, such as a Site Assistance Visit (SAV). Must have least one year of specialized experiences the GS-11level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience experience working the cyber program's standardizion and evaluion programs; experiences included coordining with MAJCOMs, Numbered Air Forces, Group Standardizion and Evaluion, and active duty counterparts to valide th the unit's evaluion program reflected AF standards and metrics; experienced in developing procedures used to assess an operor's currency and readiness to perform contingency and training missions; experienced in analyzing, evaluing and examining Cyberspace Operors in order to determine their proficiency levels as required to opere cyberspace weapon systems and meet the of particular crew positions' standards and special mission profiles; experienced in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of DoD informion systems th identified vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs; experienced in delivering assessed changes to higher-level policies, standards, directives or operions manuals th provided impacts on unit plans, policies, programs or operions; experiences included recommendions to senior leaders to adopt new concepts, criteria, and standards for inclusion in cyberspace operions training programs.
