Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network systems, including local and wide area networks. Ensures reliable performance of data, voice, video, and wireless networks through installation, configuration, monitoring, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation. Leads and supports network projects, assists with IP administration and third-party software, and participates on cross-functional teams. Requires access to confidential information and participation in on-call support.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs, implements, and supports enterprise network systems, including local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN)
  • Ensures reliable performance of data, voice, video, and wireless networks through installation, configuration, and monitoring
  • Maintains network security by applying updates, managing access controls, and adhering to security protocols
  • Troubleshoots and resolves network issues to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation related to network configurations and processes
  • Leads and supports network-related projects and initiatives
  • Assists with IP address management and supports third-party network software solutions
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support organizational technology needs
  • Participates in on-call support and handles sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree (AA or AS) in Computer Science or a related field required, with one (1) year of experience in network design, implementation, and support; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and network operating systems
  • Experience with firewalls and wireless network architectures
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including VoIP, VPN, and access control technologies (e.g., Cisco, ACS, TACACS)
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and support tools (e.g., CiscoWorks, NimBUS, Statseeker, SolarWinds, network protocol analyzers)
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and estimate effort for assigned tasks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCDA)
  • BICSI certifications (e.g., RCDD, TPM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Experience with AirMagnet, Juniper firewalls, RADIUS, or AeroScout RFID architectures
  • Experience with UNIX and Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge of location services technologies
