The Control Systems Technician I supports engineering in the preparation, configuration, testing, and implementation of control systems for Mitsubishi Power projects. This role focuses on ensuring systems meet contract, code, and performance requirements through collaboration with engineering and field teams. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies. Support design, configuration, and modification of control systems including HMIs, databases, and system components.
Assist in development and execution of testing procedures, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Collaborate with engineering and field teams to support installation and integration of control systems.
Provide start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis support for system performance issues.
Conduct inspections and prepare reports documenting findings, actions, and results.
Support field operations and customer support activities, including travel as required. Requirements Associate's degree in electrical or automation technology or equivalent hands-on control systems experience.
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, DCS, SCADA, and communication protocols such as OPC and Modbus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control system documentation.
Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibration equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail and safety awareness.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required.
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
