IT & Academic Assistant (3+ Months Experience Required)

Chi University has been dedicated to providing the best quality education to veterinarians in Integrative Veterinary Medicine through innovative distance learning and on-site lab practice since 1998. We are looking for a full-time associate to join our IT & academic teams to help support the staff, students, and instructors' needs for computer, network, information technology, and on-site/distance learning. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts due to onsite classes. Overtime may be available.

Main Duties:

Assist IT help desk for instructors, students, and staff's IT questions and troubleshoot computer or IT issues remotely or in-person. Assist video recording of lectures and labs for distant learning students. Assist with video editing, audio enhancement, and rendering. Assist inventory management of IT equipment. Assist in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software and IT hardware (e.g. printers, memory, hard drives, network switches/routers and etc) for the school and affiliated organization. Assist with on-site student services and bookstore operations. Proofread closed captioning for online lectures. Other IT and computer-related tasks assigned by the supervisors.

Required Education and Work Experience:

High school diploma or higher. Passionate in learning computer systems, software, hardware, information technology and assist other people. Attention to detail. Minimum 3 months experience working with computer systems, software, hardware or network devices. Video editing experience is a plus. Sufficient training will be provided to the new hire for succeeding in this position. Be able to lift 50lb or more.

Rate:
