Position Summary This role combines legal operations management (60%) with IT support responsibilities (40%). The primary focus is overseeing the firm's case management software, ensuring accurate usage by attorneys and staff, improving workflows, and providing technical support for day-to-day technology needs. More involved IT needs will be handled by service desk technicians. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, service-oriented, and comfortable working directly with legal professionals to improve efficiency and compliance with firm procedures. This is a 100% in-person position. Key Responsibilities Legal Operations & Case Management (60%)
  • Administer and maintain the firm's case management system and related legal technology platforms
  • Ensure attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff properly utilize case management software, according to firm standards and workflows
  • Develop, document, and enforce best practices for matter intake, case tracking, document management, calendaring, and reporting
  • Conduct staff training sessions and provide ongoing support for software usage and workflow processes
  • Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and compliance within the case management system
  • Generate operational and productivity reports for firm leadership
  • Coordinate with software vendors regarding updates, troubleshooting, and system enhancements IT Support (40%)
  • Provide first-level technical support for attorneys and staff
  • Resolve end-user problems such as password resets, printer troubleshooting, peripheral replacement (scanners, keyboard/mice), and basic application errors
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft 365, email, document management systems, and remote access tools
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors or managed service providers as needed
  • Set up and configure user accounts, workstations, and equipment for new hires
  • Assist with maintaining cybersecurity best practices and user compliance
  • Support conference room technology, video conferencing platforms, and office technology systems
  • Document support requests and resolutions in a timely manner
  • Help maintain inventory of firm hardware and software assets Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in legal operations, law firm administration, legal technology, or IT support
  • Experience working with legal case management software such as Litify, or Filevine or similar platforms
  • Experience in a law firm or legal services environment
  • Strong understanding of law firm workflows and legal staff operations
  • Familiarity with document management systems and legal billing software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and standard office technologies
  • Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and user administration
  • Experience creating process documentation and training materials
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and support non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
