Job Type:
Long Term Contract Position Summary The Network & Help Desk Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization s IT infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, backup solutions, endpoint management systems, and network services. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT systems while providing Tier 2/3 support to end users.
SCCM, Nutanix, Veeam Key Responsibilities:
Networking Manage and support LAN/WAN infrastructure Configure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues Manage VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and network security controls Help Desk & Support Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for users and IT systems Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues Manage IT tickets, incidents, and service requests within SLA Support end-user computing (Windows OS, applications, devices) Technical Skills Required Nutanix HCI (AHV, Prism) Veeam Backup & Replication (backup, restore, DR) Microsoft
SCCM / MECM
(deployments, patching, OSD) Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) Windows Server administration Active Directory, Group Policy Virtualization technologies Preferred Skills Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments PowerShell scripting and automation Knowledge of IT security best practices ITIL framework familiarity Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience) 3-6+ years of experience in system administration, networking, or IT support Relevant certifications (preferred): Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102, etc.) CompTIA Network+ / Security+ Key Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive and detail-oriented approach Rajesh (Thomas) Senior Technical Recruiter ICS Globalsoft Inc 1231 Greenway Drive | Ste 375 | Irving, TX 75038
