Job Description

Apollo Technical is seeking a full-time Lead Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer/Designer to head the plumbing and fire protection department for our clients Lawrenceville, GA office. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, possess a high level of technical skill, and be able to work in an A/E office environment with cross-coordination among all internal disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Interior Design).
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years' experience. Experience in designing and drafting complete plumbing systems and schematic-type fire protection systems for hotels, schools, and municipal buildings. Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) is not required but encouraged.
Responsibilities:
Design and draft complete plumbing systems and schematic fire protection plans for client review and permitting. Design and size water piping, natural gas systems, sanitary waste, vent, and stormwater piping, and prepare isometrics of systems. Coordinate with in-house engineers, architects, and outside civil consultants. Perform preliminary site walk-throughs to verify existing conditions. Construction administration duties, including responding to RFIs.
Skill Sets:
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office. Experience with Revit, COMCheck, and Bluebeam is a plus. Excellent communication skills with architects, engineers, and owners. Ability to work well within a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, and self-motivate to produce high-quality work. Strong time management skills and ability to stay on task.
