Marietta, GA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Records maintenance Confidential information handling Productivity software Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement, tracking, and lifecycle of all IT assets across the organization. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper assignment and recovery of assets, compliance with company policies, and optimization of asset utilization and spend.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the purchase of IT hardware and software in alignment with business needs and budget Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal Maintain accurate records of asset assignments to employees, contractors, and departments Update asset records when items are reassigned, replaced, or returned Log all new assets into the asset management database upon receipt Maintain and regularly update asset data including status, location, and ownership Perform periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance Track and coordinate return of IT assets for employees exiting or changing roles Partner with HR and managers to ensure asset recovery during offboarding Generate reports on inventory, utilization, and lifecycle status for leadership Ensure compliance with internal policies, licensing agreements, and security standards Attend team and management meetings to support operational alignment and project updates Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience with IT devices, components, and terminology preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed, accurate records Additional requirements: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, HR, and business stakeholders High attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to handle sensitive equipment and information responsibly
Work Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional movement of IT equipment May require lifting and transporting devices such as laptops and monitors Standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on operational needs
