Classified 44 Summary and relationship to the curriculum: All classified positions will strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the system mission statement. This position manages the central office server and oversees all computer technical aspects of the school nutrition program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs and configures network computer equipment including (but not limited to) computer workstations, network servers, and network routers, hubs, and bridges. Maintains network and network server configurations for local and wide area networks within the School Nutrition Program Trains and supports network for School Nutrition central office staff and school managers in the configuration, support, and use of network servers and network workstations Responsible for the design and maintenance of the School Nutrition website. Maintenance includes, but is not limited to monthly updates for menus, employee newsletters, and parent newsletters, etc. Maintains/supports all software programs normally used by location manager and central office staff, including but not limited to: Winsnap/Websmartt, Nutrikids, Food Service Production, Outlook Email and the SNP timekeeping program. Responsible for all updates required on computers/programs and any troubleshooting issues Repairs or coordinates repair of computers, printers, and other network attached devices Maintains School Messenger system for School Nutrition Program Maintains the central office SNP master folder Collates monthly reports from location managers to compile the school nutrition monthly participation report Generates reports from the WINSNAP program to prepare and input DE106 claims and reimbursements for each school on a monthly basis Prepares employee rosters for SNP Training in Depth (TID) courses and in-service; issues certificates for completed courses and maintains employee transcript database for food service certification purposes and SNA membership (national, state, and local). Maintains substitute food assistant database and ensures managers receive updated listing Collates Small Equipment Orders, sends bid to Purchasing Department, processes bid, generates purchase orders, processes receiving reports, helps bookkeeper reconcile invoices. Maintains equipment inventory Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills both in person and on the telephone Assists Accountant/Office Manager and the State Department of Audits with the annual audit
Additional Responsibilities:
Assumes other duties or projects as assigned by the Director of School Nutrition and/or Office manager.
Qualifications:

Experience:
Associates degree in computer science with related vocational training and two years experience or equivalent technology experience. Must be able to read and understand written instructions. Certification in Microsoft NT network environment preferred. Experience in wide area of network implementation and support required; CAFS POS, Win Snap, Food Service (Keck & Wood), and Nutri-kids software programs. b)
Certificate or License Required:
Certification in Microsoft NT network environment preferred. c)
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. d)
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of Measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. e)
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. f)
Technical Ability:
Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
