Role Overview We are seeking a versatile IT Support & Security Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced
MSP/MSSP
environment. This role combines hands-on help desk support with systems administration and cybersecurity responsibilities. You will work directly with client environments to maintain, secure, and optimize their infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Help Desk & End-User Support Provide Tier 1-3 support for desktops, laptops, servers, and cloud environments Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and access issues Manage ticket queues and ensure timely resolution of client requests Systems Administration Administer and support on-premises and hybrid environments Manage Active Directory (AD), including: User and group management Group Policy (GPO) configuration and maintenance Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments Maintain system documentation and configurations Cybersecurity & Compliance Implement and maintain security controls across client environments Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and security threats Assist with security audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts Ensure environments align with compliance frameworks such as:
PCI-DSS 4.0 CMMC
Level 2 HIPAA NIST (various frameworks) Apply best practices for endpoint security, identity management, and data protection Documentation & Implementation Read, interpret, and execute technical and compliance documentation Develop and maintain clear documentation for systems, processes, and policies Translate compliance requirements into actionable technical controls Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or MSP environments Hands-on experience with: On-premises Windows Server environments Active Directory, Group Policy, and user lifecycle management Microsoft 365 administration Google Workspace administration Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls) Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity frameworks and controls Ability to read technical and compliance documentation and apply it effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an MSP or MSSP environment Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, CMMC, HIPAA, NIST) Experience with security tools (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, MFA solutions) Scripting experience (PowerShell or similar) Relevant certifications (nice to have): CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar Microsoft certifications CISSP, CMMC-related, or other security certifications
Required Certifications:
We will require that you obtain various certifications within a specified timeframe. This will be discussed during the interview process.
