Job Description
Position Summary The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for acquiring, staging, building, deploying, supporting, and maintaining PCs and conference room equipment across designated locations on Oahu. This role provides hands-on desktop and conference room support, maintains accurate inventory, and delivers timely incident resolution aligned with defined service levels. The technician will work closely with end users to ensure reliable technology services and a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities Device Acquisition, Build & Deployment + Acquire PCs and conference room equipment from company warehouses. + Securely stage and build PCs using a standard corporate image. + Maintain accurate inventory records for PCs and conference room assets. + Distribute PCs and conference room equipment to designated storage and deployment locations. + Support average monthly volumes per technician: + PC builds: 30-40 per month + Conference room troubleshooting: ~10 per month + Employee moves and device replacements: ~30 per month General Desktop Services + Provide hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting. + Perform hardware and software installations. + Support desktop moves, adds, and changes. + Research and resolve technical problems. + Document desktop support processes and procedures. + Provide Service Desk and end-user support. + Participate in special projects as assigned. + Manage inventory and coordinate e-waste disposal. + Perform timely data entry and documentation of all work performed, including requests and incidents, following established processes. Conference Room & AV Support + Set up, connect, and troubleshoot conference room technologies. + Support audio-visual equipment including widescreen TVs, projectors, and video conferencing systems (e.g., Polycom or similar). + Assist users with meeting technology issues to ensure minimal disruption. Incident Response & Service Levels Technicians are expected to meet the following response and resolution targets: Severity 1 (High)
- Mission-critical impact + Call back within 15 minutes + On-site within 2 hours + Resolve within 1 hour Severity 2 (Medium)
- Serious issue with limited scope + Call back within 30 minutes + On-site within 4 hours + Resolve within 2 hours Severity 3 (Low)
- Assistance needed before end of day + Call back within 60 minutes + On-site within 6 hours + Resolve within 3 hours + Issues reported after 4:00 PM may be scheduled for the next business day unless severity is escalated Required Skills & Qualifications + Intermediate-level experience in Desktop Support within an enterprise environment.
