Desktop Support

Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on support for end-user devices, applications, and conference room technologies. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer interaction, and experience supporting a Microsoft-based environment. Key Responsibilities Desktop & Hardware Support + Image, configure, and deploy laptops for end users + Perform minor hardware repairs such as memory and hard drive replacements + Provide desk-side support, diagnosing and resolving laptop, peripheral, and connectivity issues + Troubleshoot and support printers, docking stations, and other end-user equipment + Support and maintain conference room technology, including video conferencing systems and AV equipment Application & Software Support + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) + Support Adobe applications and DocuSign, addressing usability and functionality issues + Provide support and guidance for document management systems, including SharePoint and similar tools (e.g., iManage) User Support & Operations + Deliver high-quality customer service while assisting users with technical issues in person and remotely + Diagnose issues efficiently and escalate complex problems when necessary + Document support activities and solutions to contribute to knowledge base improvements + Collaborate with IT team members to ensure consistent and effective support delivery Required Skills & Qualifications + Experience in desktop support or IT support within a corporate environment + Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and peripheral devices + Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications + Familiarity with document management systems such as SharePoint + Experience supporting conferencing/AV technologies + Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications + Experience with laptop imaging and deployment tools + Basic hardware repair experience + Exposure to enterprise document management platforms (e.g., iManage) + Ability to work in a fast-paced, user-facing environment with multiple priorities Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
