ECT's are expected to understand and troubleshoot unique equipment with non-standard controls. This position requires strong teamwork with both management and plant-floor personnel. PLUS Responsibilities:
  • Design, install and/or troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical components such as motors, motion systems, and connection parts such as relays, termination blocks and sensors.
  • Perform projects using
PC & PLC
programming, maintain documentation and communicate updated documentation to associates and staff.
  • Perform projects using PLC and HMI programming and maintain documentation.
  • Perform instrumentation implementation and calibration.
  • Perform control system and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Keep Supervisor up to date on the status of all assigned projects, programming, work backlog, on-going problems, and safety issues.
  • Perform electrical and electrical safety compliance checks.
  • Work in teams to improve or alter production line operations.
Requirements:
  • 2-year Electrical Technician Degree or equivalent work experience and references.
  • Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Wireless Technologies, Motion Controls, High-speed Cameras, Labelers (Ink and Laser), AC Power up to 240V, DC power primarily below 50V
  • Always remain safety conscious and employ safe work practices.
  • Maintain a production mindset.
  • Work with minimal supervision individually or as part of a team
  • Be eager to learn and to accept responsibility.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and squat; Occasionally lift to 60 pounds.
  • Furnish own hand tools.
