Overview Join our dynamic team as an IT Support Engineer and become the backbone of our technology operations! Your expertise will empower users, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and maintain vital IT infrastructure components. Responsibilities Provide prompt and professional technical support to end-users via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira, resolving issues efficiently and effectively. Manage and maintain computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications, including Microsoft Office suite. Troubleshoot software problems, hardware malfunctions, network connectivity issues, VPN access, firewalls, and other security measures to ensure optimal system performance. Support desktop support activities such as installing, configuring, and updating computers and peripherals across the organization. Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components including LAN (Local Area Network), operating systems, firewalls, and VPN configurations to ensure network security and reliability. Assist with computer management tasks like asset tracking, inventory updates, and hardware lifecycle management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, security patches, and new technology deployments using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while delivering outstanding customer service that fosters trust and satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of desktop support, computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network fundamentals such as LAN. Familiarity with troubleshooting software issues using diagnostic tools and techniques. Knowledge of computer networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, LAN/WAN configurations. Experience working with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to users at all levels. Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
