Job Description

We are looking for a customer-focused Tier 1 Helpdesk specialist to provide frontline technical assistance for users in West Des Moines, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience supporting Microsoft-based environments and resolving everyday hardware and software issues. The person in this role will handle incoming support requests, troubleshoot Windows systems, and help maintain reliable end-user technology services.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming service desk requests and provide timely first-level technical support for end users
  • Diagnose and resolve common issues involving Microsoft Windows, Windows 10, and standard desktop applications
  • Support user account tasks in Active Directory, including routine access and password-related assistance
  • Troubleshoot laptop hardware concerns and coordinate appropriate fixes or escalations when needed
  • Prepare, deploy, and maintain laptop images to support consistent device setup and performance
  • Assist with remote support sessions using Remote Desktop tools to resolve user issues efficiently
  • Provide basic support for device management platforms such as Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and ticket updates clearly within the service desk system
