- Deep knowledge of AS400 (IBM iSeries) architecture and environment
- Experience in application maintenance and production support
- Strong understanding of: o Job scheduling, batch processing, job queues o Spool files, debugging, system logs.
- Experience with Change Management tools (preferred: ALDON)
- Good knowledge of FTP processes and protocols for file transfer
- Strong debugging and performance tuning capabilities in legacy systems
- Preferred Skills o Experience working in RxClaim / PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) domain. o Familiarity with healthcare systems and claims processing o Exposure to incident/problem management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) o Knowledge of modernization approaches (Mainframe/AS400 to Cloud) is a plus. Roles & Responsibilities AS400 Synon with Production Support experience
- Provide L2/L3 production support for AS400-based applications.
- Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and resolution.
- Work on bug fixes, minor enhancements, and code deployments
- Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and system performance.
- Support data corrections and production issue troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, QA, DevOps)
- Ensure adherence to change management and release processes.
- Handle on-call support and critical production issues
- Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and support runbooks.
- Participate in continuous improvement and system stability initiatives
Salary Range:
$110,000- $130,000 a year
