Job Job Description Location:

East Chicago, IN Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for Lead SAP Basis Administrator. As a Lead SAP Basis Administrator at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will be part of a team providing support for the SAP production environment as well as participating in strategic projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Basis administration, S/4 HANA upgrades and migrations, and on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role involves managing and optimizing our SAP landscape to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.

Summary of Responsibilities System Installation and Configuration:

Install and configure SAP systems, including the underlying database.

Performance Tuning:

Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP systems. SAP with

Serve as the primary technical liaison to SAP for RISE (Service Delivery Manager, Technical Service Manager) for incidents, service requests, and escalations.

System Upgrades and Migrations:

Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations of SAP products.

System Integration:

Ensure seamless integration of SAP with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Transport Management:

Manage the SAP transport system to move changes across different environments.

System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Conduct regular system

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and updates.

Access and Security Management:

Manage end user, privileged user, roles and profiles. Administer SAP security at the Basis layer (RFC destinations, SNC, Single Sign-On, STRUST certificates, secure profile parameters). Experience with SAP GRC-Access Control or IAM tools for user provisioning and access management controls, including Segregation of Duties. Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and operation of SAP systems Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior analysts and act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years in SAP Basis administration, with at least two full end-to-end implementation or upgrade cycles. Proficiency in

SAP S/4HANA, SAP GRC, SAP

BTP and SAP TM system administration. Experience with operating systems Unix/Linux (primarily SUSE) and Windows Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills Project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of IT Service Management fundamentals Proficiency in

English Preferred Qualifications Certifications:

SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP HANA); ITIL or Project Management (PMP) certifications are highly valued Experience with Cloud ALM changes process and test orchestration Experience with SAP Cloud products (SAP

IBP, SAP C4C, SAP CPI, SAP IBP

) Experience with

SAP HANA
