The Role As a Senior IT Support Technician , you'll be a key part of Tech365's service team, delivering hands-on support across desktops, servers, networks, firewalls, and business applications. This isn't a helpdesk seat where you're limited to password resets — you'll be both remote and in the field, working directly with clients to solve real-world challenges. Every day is different, and success in this role comes from being resourceful, self-motivated, and confident in your technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Troubleshooting Respond to client support requests via phone, remote session, or onsite visit. Diagnose and resolve issues involving computers, printers, firewalls, networking, Office 365, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, email, cameras, IoT/sensor devices, and other business technologies. Communicate clearly and confidently with clients while keeping them informed throughout your work. Document tasks, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system. Collaborate with other Tech365 team members when additional expertise or coordination is needed. Network & Infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, modems, and access points (Ubiquiti, SonicWall, etc.).
Provide structured cabling support:
run and terminate Ethernet cabling, test connections, and troubleshoot wiring issues. Ensure network hardware and racks are organized, labeled, and performing optimally. Systems & Cloud Administration Support virtualized environments using Hyper-V and similar platforms. Configure and manage cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other SaaS platforms. Maintain and support backup systems, remote management tools, and related services. Hardware & Field Work Handle hardware setup, replacement, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision. Work on servers, network racks, and IT infrastructure at client sites to ensure reliability and uptime. Occasionally lift boxes (up to 60 lbs), climb ladders, and work with equipment in a variety of business and industrial environments. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical field (MSP experience preferred) Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows, networking, and business platforms Strong customer service and communication skills — you can explain solutions clearly and calmly Proven ability to walk into a situation, assess it quickly, and get things working again without waiting for step-by-step direction Familiarity with Office 365, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, printers/scanners, and common networking gear Experience with firewalls, backup systems, and remote tools (RMM, ticketing, etc.) Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals are helpful but not required if your experience shows results Important Information This role will require a high level of independence and work ethic to figure out solutions to simple and complex problems, often with little to no information provided. $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
