The PACS Team Supervisor is is responsible for managing and optimizing imaging systems, including PACS, RIS, and related technologies across Imaging Services. You would ensure system performance, image integrity, workflow efficiency, and successful implementation of new imaging technologies and system enhancements. This role reports to the Imaging Services Leadership / Director of Imaging Services.. Essential & valuable skills gained (in this unit or in this department):
  • Advanced imaging informatics (PACS/RIS/EMR integration)
  • Project management and system implementation
  • Troubleshooting complex imaging systems and workflows
  • Cross-functional collaboration with IT, Clinical Informatics, and vendors
  • Data integrity, system optimization, and workflow design Imaging Services Successes and Designation
  • Supports high-performing imaging operations through system reliability and uptime
  • Ensures timely image availability for radiologists and providers
  • Contributes to efficient patient care through optimized imaging workflows Training & Onboarding Culture
  • Hands-on system training with PACS, RIS, and imaging workflows
  • Ongoing collaboration with IT, Clinical Informatics, and vendor partners
  • Continuous learning environment focused on new technologies and system improvements
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage and maintain PACS, RIS, and imaging systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Lead and coordinate imaging system projects including installations, upgrades, and integrations
  • Troubleshoot system issues, equipment performance, and workflow disruptions
  • Serve as liaison between Imaging Services, IT, vendors, and clinical teams
  • Monitor image transmission, archiving, routing, and system integrity
  • Ensure timely availability and accuracy of imaging data for radiologists and providers
  • Support system downtime planning, recovery, and communication
  • Maintain user access, training, and support for imaging systems
  • Assist with workflow development, process improvement, and system optimization
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Imaging Services staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2-5 years of PACS/RIS or imaging systems support experience
  • Knowledge of DICOM standards and imaging system integrations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment Licenses /
Certifications:
  • Relevant healthcare IT or imaging certifications preferred
