Position Summary As an IT Support Specialist, you'll provide technical support for desktop hardware, operating systems, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, software applications, and network connectivity. You'll troubleshoot technical issues, support end users both remotely and onsite, and ensure our technology infrastructure allows our teams to focus on serving children and families. This position requires excellent customer service, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently while following industry-standard troubleshooting methodologies. What You'll Do Provide technical support through phone, email, and onsite service requests. Troubleshoot desktop hardware, Windows, ChromeOS, and occasional Mac systems. Configure and support Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications. Install, update, and maintain hardware and software. Maintain hardware, software, and spare equipment inventories. Document all work within the support ticket system. Support conference room technology, video conferencing, and telemedicine systems. Participate in on-call support rotation. Travel to Wichita and Hays hospital locations using a company-provided vehicle. Escalate recurring issues to Network Engineers and IT leadership. Assist with technology projects and system improvements. Maintain compliance with security standards, HIPAA requirements, and Joint Commission regulations. Stay current on cybersecurity threats, AI technologies, and emerging IT solutions. What We're Looking For Education High school diploma required. Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in an IT-related field preferred. Licensure Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required. At least 21 years old Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified Azure and Hybrid Cisco CCNA CompTIA certifications Experience Three years of experience in a technical support role. Preferred Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of Windows, ChromeOS, and Mac hardware and operating systems. Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Administration, and Azure. Knowledge of networking, wired and wireless connectivity, and device configuration. Experience with Citrix and software deployment tools. Familiarity with imaging software, device management tools, and computer repair utilities. Experience supporting Electronic Health Records and medical devices. Knowledge of AI tools and troubleshooting. Familiarity with conference room technology and telemedicine systems. Understanding of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and security best practices.
