Pay $52,000 - $66,500 per year Schedule 40 hours per week May require extended hours during travel periods (January-July) Overview We are seeking a full-time, proactive, and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology (IT) team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools and automation. Travel Requirement Travel required approximately 2 months per year (January-July) Locations include Dallas, Atlanta, and Las Vegas Travel is primarily for trade shows and on-site event support Responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner Install, configure, and maintain computers, systems, and applications Train and support employees on IT tools and best practices Assist with IT equipment procurement and setup Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation Support system upgrades, deployments, and ongoing improvements Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements Respond to incidents and minimize downtime Research and recommend new technologies and solutions Support trade show and event IT setups and operations Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and service delivery Assist with IT automation projects and system rollouts Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in technical support, helpdesk, or a similar IT role Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Comfortable using and learning new technologies, including AI-assisted tools Willingness to travel for extended periods (up to ~2 months annually) Preferred Qualifications Experience in a multi-user helpdesk or frontline support environment Strong communicator who enjoys helping others and can explain technical concepts clearly Ability to quickly build trust with non-technical users Demonstrated ownership of issues through full resolution Experience supporting live events or trade shows Exposure to IT automation tools, scripting, or workflow improvements Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) systems
