Non-Union Deep South Crane & Rigging, LLC has been a leader in the heavy-lift and heavy-haul businesses since the 1980's. Family-owned and operated, we specialize in planning and executing rigging and lifting projects that other companies would call infeasible or impossible. Our corporate office is in Baton Rouge, LA with other offices located in Lake Charles, LA, Dequincy, LA, Beaumont, TX, Houston, TX, Ashland, KY and Luling, LA. At Deep South, the role of the IT Support Specialist is to troubleshoot and solve a wide variety of technical issues. This position will be the first line of defense for employee's software and hardware problems. A good candidate will have knowledge of troubleshooting and solutions to allow the company's network to run more efficiently. This position will be located at the Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, LA. GENERAL
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the first line of support for end users experiencing computer, software, or hardware issues Respond to, manage, and resolve tickets in our IT helpdesk system Provide step-by-step technical assistance to users via phone, email, or in person Escalate more complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary Document problems and solutions in the ticketing system to ensure consistent service Assist with basic setup and configuration of computers, printers, phones, and other devices Follow established IT policies and procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and Analytics, or closely related Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and common desktop applications Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems (preferred but not required; training provided) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Deep South is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
