Job Description Asset Management Specialist _____________________________________________________________________________________________
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Entry Level/Full Time/ At-Will/ Non-Exempt
BASIC FUNCTION
The function of the Asset Management Specialist is to assist our sales, support and engineering teams and our clients by quoting, collecting, tracking, processing, reporting and maintaining our client's IT assets lifecycle and renewals in our management systems. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
The following are principal duties of the Asset Management Specialist Represent Datalyst in a positive, pleasant and professional manner Work with all personnel and outside contacts and 3rd party vendors to satisfy clients and achieve company goals Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions Identify wasteful or inefficient best practices and other unnecessary expenses Provide input, creative solutions, and ideas that help consolidate client asset reporting and to work with and enhance the team concept Regular follow-up with customers during renewal cycle, via telephone and email Research product pricing, product availability and substitutions and cross checking internal data with manufacturer data to determine accurate contract configurations, warranty and or product expiration dates Processing of opportunities, quotes and calculating renewal costs and quoting annual costs Develop and implement procedures for tracking client assets throughout their lifecycles Plan, monitor, and record software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Supports license reclamation, renewals and license audits. Identify and remediate process gaps within the hardware/software purchasing and software renewal management process. Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services Assists in conducting quality assurance over asset management process Work with and maintain several databases and manage numerous details associated with the asset record of the client asset portfolio, including licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the client's hardware, software and IT equipment. Conducts and/or performs periodic audits of the client IT asset portfolio to ensure compliance Work within established guidelines and procedures. Maintain work areas in a clean and organized manner. Perform any other administrative duties assigned by your manager including ad-hoc projects and contributing to team efforts _____________________________________________________________________________________________

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to effectively prioritize and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, environment Proficient in typing Effective and energetic problem-solver with strong aptitude with ability to think strategically and creatively Ability to absorb and retain information quickly Sales or Inside Sales experience is a plus, but not required Must be able to interact with all levels within the organization and possess strong communication skills with the capability to express ideas and concepts in writing and verbally. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Must be able to multitask and work with limited supervision. Ability to quickly recognize potential pitfalls and prioritize work load. Excellent phone skills a must. Intermediate skills in MS Office (
