IT Field Support Technician

Location:
Laurel, MD 20707. This role is on-site, Monday through Friday.
Role:
Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Support Technician to operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure End-Users receive effective IT Services.
Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Troubleshooting challenges with computers and network devices.
  • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.
  • Ensuring the security of clients and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
  • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience working in IT.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows OS, SCCM, and SITIL Methodologies.
  • Strong customer service skills.
Preferred/Nice to
Have Skills:
  • Associate's degree in an IT related field.
  • 1 year of experience with computer hardware repair.
  • 1 year of experience with technical support.
  • 1 year of experience with software troubleshooting.
Clearance:
  • Able to pass a background check.
