We are looking for an entry-level Help Desk Technician who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their IT career, gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies, and be part of a team where initiative, communication, and customer service matter. //Position Overview The Entry-Level Help Desk Technician will provide remote technical support to clients, assist with troubleshooting common hardware and software issues, and help maintain user accounts, devices, and business systems. This position does not require travel or onsite field work. The right candidate will be dependable, coachable, organized, and comfortable working in a busy MSP environment where priorities can change quickly. //Responsibilities Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and support requests in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network, printer, email, and Microsoft 365 issues. Provide remote support for Windows desktop and laptop computers. Assist with user account setup, password resets, permissions, email access, and basic Microsoft 365 administration. Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the help desk system. Provision and configure new or replacement Windows computers, including installing applications, printers, and basic business software. Support common business technologies, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, printers, and network access. Escalate more complex technical issues to senior technicians when needed. Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members regarding ticket status and next steps. Follow internal processes, checklists, and security best practices. Assist with routine system administration and maintenance tasks as assigned. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented support culture in a fast-paced MSP startup environment. //Qualifications/Preferred Experience 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar technical support role preferred. Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider is a plus, but not required. //Required Skills Strong customer service skills and a professional communication style. Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 desktop environments. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365. Basic troubleshooting knowledge for computers, printers, email, internet connectivity, and common software issues. Ability to follow documented procedures and ask good questions when needed. Strong attention to detail when documenting tickets and completing tasks. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and grow with the company. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a small but growing team. //Nice-to-Have Skills Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Entra ID. Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and VPNs. Experience with remote support tools or ticketing systems. Experience setting up Windows desktops, laptops, printers, and user accounts. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar are helpful but not required. //Education A degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent education, training, certifications, or hands-on experience will be considered. //Work Environment This is a help desk-focused role in a fast-paced MSP startup environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling multiple support requests, learning quickly, and adapting as the company grows.
