Job Description

Overview The A/V VTC Engineer Sr provides technical support and assistance in the research, design, acquisition, installation, troubleshooting, and operation of VTC and AV equipment and applications for the CAA and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). Responsibilities
  • Provide full lifecycle technical support for VTC equipment and software - including research, design assistance, acquisition support, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and warranty replacement - ensuring reliable operation of common-user suites and integrated systems.
  • Provide VTC hardware and software support over multiple networks to include, operating (schedule, facilitate), maintaining common-user VTC suites; provide interface access for VTC and secure telephone equipment; provide design and installation advice and technical support for integrated suites, coordinate usage of a VTC Bridge (switch) to allow multiple sessions and multiple users per session; and assist end users with setting up accounts on desktop software applications.
  • Provide Tier 1 level technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance of VTC equipment and software including network configuration.
  • Align managed systems concerning Windows Operating Systems, images, containers, PODs, Nodes, or other applicable cloud computing technologies, registered applications, and supporting application technologies to comply with current DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)/security requirements guides (SRG), and applicable guidance concerning the Cybersecurity posture of administered information systems within the applicable network in which the systems in question reside.
  • Coordinate, implement, and run classified video teleconferences.
  • Develop and update SOPs on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure the individual supporting this effort holds a Security + certification and a valid IAT level II baseline certification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 upon the performance start date.
  • Provide audiovisual programmer support to business network video teleconference (VTC) rooms.
  • Coordinate and maintain the conference room scheduler, assisting customers with facility and SVTC bridge reservations; provide training and support for users utilizing Teams Live Events - both virtual and in on-site auditoriums/large event spaces.
  • Support Special Security by validating information and assisting employees with JWICS requests, SCI Indoctrination, SCI courier orders, and
JWICS PKI
trust agent functions; assist with SCIF and T-SCIF accreditation/reaccreditations.
  • Monitor, claim, update, and complete customer requests through the ITSM ticketing system, resolving NIPR and SIPR enterprise, hardware, and software technical issues (system/account maintenance included).
Qualifications Required:
  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA Security + certification or other valid IAT level II or IAM level I baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01.
  • Knowledge of the management of some of the following security disciplines: Information Security, Operations Security, Foreign Disclosure, Industrial Security, Insider Threat, Personnel Security, Antiterrorism, Force Protection Personnel Recovery, Continuity of Operations Program, Emergency Management, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Physical Security, Key Control, Special Security, Intelligence Oversight, Telecommunications Electronics Material Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions, Communication Security, and Special Access Program security.
