Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for an IT Technical Specialist , a W2 contract opportunity!!
IT Technical Specialist Duration:
12 months and eligible for extension
Role Type:
W2 contract
Schedule:
Onsite/Hybrid-3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Location:
Detroit, MI This is a W2 contrac t opportunity that MUST be worked on our W2 ONLY ; there is
NO C2C/NO 1099
eligibility for this position .
Top Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or application support roles Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across systems, networks, and applications Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, including: Windows/Linux systems Network infrastructure Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow,) Knowledge of IT security principles and compliance frameworks
Job Summary:
The IT Technical Specialist supports enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and applications that enable the business operations across generation, distribution, and corporate functions. This role is responsible for delivering technical support, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions aligned with the company's standards and requirements. The position works closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day technical support for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure environments Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system incidents, minimizing downtime and restoring service quickly Monitor system performance and proactively detect issues using enterprise monitoring tools Support incident, problem, and event management processes, including documentation and root cause analysis Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to implement system enhancements and project deliverables Maintain and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles Assist in system testing, validation, and deployment activities for new or updated solutions Support risk identification, mitigation activities, and security best practices across IT environments Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and user experience "Beware of scams.
