CLASS SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing the operations of an assigned area. Responsibilities may include supervising part-time staff; managing department funds; and monitoring daily operations.
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES
(See online posting for complete job description) Supervises part-time staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; coordinating staff training; and supporting personnel procedures. Manages the set up of on-site equipment; assesses hardware needs and replaces as needed. Monitors daily operations, including: high-level troubleshooting; resolution of complex log-on issues; and completing routine software updates. Communicates with vendors and related organizations to resolve department issues. Maintains department inventory of supplies and equipment. Recommends implementation of new programs to meet the needs of an assigned area. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field and 2 years of related experience; or, Associate's degree and 3 years of related experience; or, all required certifications and 3 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
: Valid State of Michigan Driver's License
