Job Description

Primary Purpose An IT Warehouse Management Specialist (WMS) supports efficient warehouse operations by managing inventory accuracy, coordinating the flow of goods, and maintaining compliance with safety and documentation standards. This role ensures timely, organized, and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials while supporting broader supply‑chain efficiency. Piston Automotive wasn't just founded to make things. Manage inventory levels, including cycle counts, physical audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies in warehouse management systems (WMS). Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and secure packaging. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners; perform routine equipment checks. Maintain warehouse organization and layout, optimizing space and workflow to increase operational efficiency. Oversee returns processing, including inspection, restocking, and proper documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, reporting hazards and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Support loading and unloading operations and ensure proper handling of products. Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, production, and customer service, to ensure timely fulfillment. Contribute to process improvements, recommending and implementing workflow enhancements. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain. 1-3 years of warehouse or logistics experience. Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate warehouse equipment safely. Basic computer proficiency, including WMS and inventory-tracking tools. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational and time-management skills in a fast‑paced environment. Clear communication and teamwork abilities. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues. Preferred Qualifications Experience with barcode scanning systems and advanced WMS platforms. Certifications in logistics, warehousing, safety, or equipment operation.
